För många år sedan kom jag på att jag skulle samla  personuppgifter på olika gotländska släkter i en databas för att underlätta min egen släktforskning. Jag satte ihop en massa "lösa trådar" på det viset. Dessvärre hade jag inte samma iver att ta med källhänvisningen så en del av mina källor haltar en aning. Nåväl det är nu hart när omöjligt för mig att rätta till det misstaget men jag försöker korrigera efterhand som jag finner tillbaka till källan. Jag använder dessa uppgifter som ledtrådar inte som påståenden och jag rekommenderar dig att göra detsamma.

Jag har på den här sidan samlat ihop uppgifter på Biskopar och Präster på Gotland och deras familjer, dock med en del luckor naturligtvis. Här presenterar jag dem sockenvis.

Exempel på böcker jag letat i är bl.a. Lemkes herdaminne, olika släktböcker, kyrkoböcker som t.ex. födelse-, giftas- och dödslängder, domböcker och många andra faktaböcker som rört Gotland m.m. Jag har även fått uppgifter från andra forskare som mailat mig efter att de har besökt min sida om prästerna.

Dessutom har jag fått en hel del kompletterande uppgifter av min syster, Elisabeth, som ramlat över dem i sina forskningar i de gotländska domböckerna. Likaså Elisabeths dotter Carola bidrar med upptäckter som kommer alla till del och till nytta.

Many years ago I came up with the idea to gather personal data of different Gotlandic families in a database to ease my own genealogical research.
This way I connected a lot of "loose ends". Unfortunately I did not have the same enthusiasm when it came to crediting the sources; so some of my sources leave a lot to wish for. Oh well, it is now impossible for me to elucidate this, but I am trying to correct it little by little as I find my way back to the source. I use this information as clues and not as statements.

On this page I have gathered information about bishops, clergy, and their families on Gotland, though with a few gaps of course. You will find them listed by parish.

Examples of literature I have used is among others "Lemkes herdaminne"("Lemke's Diocesan Annals"), different family books, parish registers such as for instance birth, marriage and death registries, judgment books and many fact books concerning Gotland etc. I have also received information from other researchers that have e-mailed me after visiting my clergy page, and I would especially like to thank you for this!

I have also received a lot of supplementing information from my sister, Elisabeth, who stumbled upon it during her research in the Gotlandic judgment books.Elisabeth's daugther Carola contribute as well with discoveries that can be of use for all
